On April 18, 2013 the U.S. State Department held a gathering to hear public comments regarding the pending permit submitted by TransCanada for the Keystone XL pipeline to cross the Canadian Border into the U.S. and continue on to the Gulf of Mexico. This pipeline is proposed to carry Alberta tar sands/bitumen over 1200 miles down through sovereign Indigenous territories, farm and ranches our country depends on, the largest aquifer in the nation, and ecologically sensitive areas.

Listen as ranchers and farmers recount the disrespect and dirty tactics that TransCanada representatives used against them in order to secure the KXL route even before the permit has been issued.
